Eagle Eye

Seven precision challenges, one single attempt at each.

Players
1 to 8 players (you can play alone).
Length
From one to seven challenges of 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds each.

Overview

Eagle Eye gathers seven small visual precision challenges: Perfect lumberjack, Pastry chef, Barista, Elevator, Timekeeper, Center of mass and Tightrope walker. Everyone plays the same challenge at the same time and each challenge is played only once, with no second attempt.

At the end of each challenge you see how close everyone got to the target. Anyone who submits nothing gets 0 points, so it never pays to stand still until time runs out.

How a round goes

  1. The host chooses which challenges to include (from one to seven) and the time per challenge.
  2. The challenge starts for everyone together, with a single chance.
  3. You submit your attempt before the time runs out.
  4. At the end of the challenge it shows how close each player got to the target.
  5. Points depend on the precision of the attempt; whoever submits nothing gets 0.

Tips to win

  • Take a moment to look carefully before acting: with a single attempt, hesitation costs less than a wrong move.
  • Always submit something before time runs out: an imperfect attempt is worth more than zero.
  • In challenges where time matters, trust your own rhythm and do not be swayed by those playing near you.
  • On small screens move your finger calmly: an imprecise touch costs more than half a second extra.
  • After each challenge look at how close you got to the target: it tells you whether you tend to miss by too much or too little, and you can correct yourself in the next one.

For the host: settings and tips

  • With a new group include all seven challenges and 20 seconds: they have different mechanics and there is always one that suits each person.
  • The time per challenge can be 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds; with 10 seconds the game becomes nervy, with 30 very relaxed.
  • If time is short, pick just three or four challenges: the match lasts as long as the number of challenges you choose.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play alone?

Yes, from 1 to 8 players.

Can I retry a challenge?

No: each challenge has a single attempt, with no second try.

How many challenges are there?

Seven; the host can include from one to seven.

How long does a match last?

It depends on the host's choices: each challenge lasts 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds, so with all seven challenges at 20 seconds the playing time is 140 seconds, plus the transitions between one challenge and the next.

Does it work well on a phone?

Yes, the site works on a computer, phone or tablet. In the precision challenges it is best to move your finger calmly, as the small-screen tip reminds you.
